Scenic Byways and Heritage Area Planning
Brown Walker Planners has worked with local, regional, state and federal agencies to design scenic byways programs and develop management plans for scenic byways and national heritage areas to provide practical strategies that balance tourism promotion and resource protection.
We have worked with the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Federal Highway Administration to provide workshops and training relative to scenic byways. Our knowledge of the National Scenic Byways Program has enabled us to manage and guide regional collaboration to produce effective corridor management plans that are an integral part of the process for federal designation of scenic byways.
